How do I schedule a vaccination event at my organization?

Schedule your business, group or school using our online registration form. We will respond to your request in two to three business days.

What type of flu vaccines does MedStar VNA provide?

MedStar VNA offers clients their choice between the:

  • Standard influenza vaccine
  • Quadrivalent influenza vaccine
  • Preservative-free influenza vaccine
  • Nasal influenza vaccine (Flu Mist)
  • High-dose influenza vaccine

Note: MedStar VNA nurses do not carry every type of vaccine to every event. Please notify MedStar VNA if you require vaccines beyond the standard influenza vaccine.

What other vaccines does MedStar VNA provide?

In addition to influenza (flu), we also provide Pneumococcal (Pneumovax and Prevnar), Hepatitis A and B, Tetanus Diphtheria (Td), and Meningococcal.

Who provides the vaccines?

MedStar VNA employs only registered nurses (RN) who are trained in delivering the highest standards of care.

What days are services provided?

Our nurses are available seven days a week – mornings, afternoons and late evenings.

What areas does MedStar VNA serve?

MedStar VNA operates the largest, most experienced vaccination program in the metropolitan area, serving Maryland, D.C. and Northern Virginia.

What is the cost for the flu shot?

The influenza vaccine is $40 per individual if there are a minimum of 20 people receiving the vaccine at your location.  Large group discounts are available – please call 240-965-2972 for pricing. There is no cost to individuals with Medicare Part B. We also accept cash, check (payable to MedStar VNA) and corporate invoices.

Does MedStar VNA charge an hourly nurse fee?

No, MedStar VNA only charges for the vaccines administered.

Can I schedule a flu shot for one individual?

Due to the cost to employ licensed professionals, the minimum total for participants is 20. A nurse can administer 20 to 25 shots per hour.

Who can receive the flu shot?

MedStar VNA nurses administer vaccines to adults and children (four years and older with a parent/guardian present). To learn more about the flu, including who is recommended for vaccination, visit our Flu Basics page.
